I see you are new to posting inquiries on the Rootsweb message boards. When you post, post the persons DOB, that always helps volunteers find the person. If you do not have that, post a time period, where they died, parents, siblings, spouse info, etc. If you have a posted family tree, post the link to it. While you did post enough information for most volunteers to find your people, this helps prevent getting wrong information. Your second posting was very good, AND, identified where you have already checked and information found...that is very helpful. That prevents you from getting a lot of information you already have.
I always go outside the genealogy box to do research:
The Inyo County Recorder has recorded documents involving Barbara Lee Smith Coman:
http://www.criis.com/cgi-bin/doc_search.cgi?COUNTY=inyo&...These were deed transfers appearing to transfer to her estate in August 1982.
There is also a Deed in 08/20/2009 from a Thomas Verhoef to a Paul Nichols Coman. These records only date from 1982 forward.
Paul, may or may not be related.
--This county recorder might have more records prior to 1982, on some rare occasions a Will may have been recorded, especially when property transfer was needed.
--
www.zabasearch.com shows a Paul N. Coman in Los Angeles, CA.
Another record shows he is 50, connected to a G. Coman, Marcia Coman, Nick Coman and a Rogers Coman.
I could not find an online database of Inyo County Court records (Probate, etc). You might contact the court to see where such records might be located.
If you go to Inyo, try the local records at the Genealogical Society:
http://www.cagenweb.com/inyo/I would NOT recommend paying for research. Sometimes you get good information. But, there are a lot of volunteer researchers and PAID researchers that skim some information, or say there isn't any. I had a person contact me for information on their family. After finding quite a bit in the local area, I was told they spent quite a bit only to be told there wasn't any records.
The other person responding and I live in Washington State and do not have local records...
