My ancestor is Joseph Reed who married Mary Polly King in Livingston Co., KY, came into ARK ca 1814-1818, with a large group of people (many extended family members) and then into Washington Co., ARK and Red River Co., TX.

He was supposed to have been the brother of William in Arkansas with wife Margaret Robertson.

Understand please when I ask , what is your basis for identifying the father of William husband of Margaret Robertson? I have been looking for some concrete piece of evidence and have been waiting for some of the Red River descendents to respond to other quires. I saw yours and hoped.....Do you have anything - letter, legend, family story, etc.?
