Where did you get his information on his death? Yes, I have heard about Obe being buried on Louis' farm in Sharp County, BUT I have tramped all over Louis' farm in Sharp County. I have been told he was buried in the cemetery right in Hardy from at least 3 different relatives. Again, tramped all over that cemetery. Have been told he had a baby buried by his side and one of his grandchildren buried on the other side. I have heard he had a tombstone with his name, date of birth/death but have yet to find it. I do have a note from Donia Thomas this is what it says: "Obe Thomas buried at Hardy in cemetery right in town by locust stump. Uncle Lewis Thomas has baby boy buried there. Bob Thomas stuck a big thorn in his foot at his grandpa's funeral when he was a small boy (Bob thought he was 13 years old at the time). His great-uncle Bob grabbed him and held his foot between his knees and pulled it out." Bob Thomas was 6-6-1889. Add 13 years to this and it puts the date of Obe's death 1902. But it also depends weather it was before his birthday or after his birthday. Since he was bare-foot, it had to be warm weather or one would think it was. Henry and I was told sooooooooo many tales about Obediah. Who knows the real truth!
