Yes, I'm pretty sure William was the son of Thomas and Elizabeth. They had several children and I've been able to track William traveling from Virginia to Arkansas and then onto Nevada with two of them, his brother Thomas and sister Eleanor. I've always thought William had a wife before Susan because of the 1850 census that listed Marcus as his son who would have been born before his marriage to Susan. I assumed Marcus had died while crossing the country. How do you fit into the Boyd family? I am the 3rd great granddaughter of William. Thank you for replying.
