Comment left on my profile page might be helpful for any answer:Death of Elizabeth McAllister by SusanKimesBurgess added this on 9 Oct 2013:
"I believe Elizabeth outlived her husband and was living with her son, Joseph Franklin Lewis in 1860. She also appears to be in Earl's 1830 and 1840 census records so I doubt a death year of 1827. I have not located her in the 1850 census. She was not with Joseph's family in 1870 so I believe she died between 1860-1870 probably in Texas, although she could have gone to California with the family before she died.
It is possible she died and Earl remarried another woman by the name of Elizabeth but I have seen no records supporting this idea."

Thank you for any assistance. It is good to see you have knowledge of both LEWIS and McCallister family names.
