I have seen several posting for Rachel Owen, daughter of Aaron Owen and Jane Moody. Seems like they are all incomplete.

Rachel OWEN born 24 Dec 1846 AR died 11 Jan 1934 at Treat in Johnson Co. AR. and is buried in Shannon Cemetery at Treat.
She married 1st John Chesterfield BLACKWOOD sometime before 1864 when their daughter was born. The courthouse burned in Newton Co. and I suspect it was there. He was killed during the civil war while plowing a field at Cowell in Newton Co.

Rachel married 2nd Samuel James DIAL (DILE) about 1866 Bk A page 12 Newton Co. This marriage is listed in the index but the page it was recorded on is missing.

Rachel and Isham HIGGS had in their house in the 1880 Newton Co. census a houseful of his and her children. Her DIAL children are listed as BLACKWOOD and George W.DIAL was listed as Dial BLACKWOOD.

Rachel married 4th Frank SHANE 24 Feb 1884 Bk B-167 Newton Co. AR. Frank is buried in Rosetta Cemetery in Johnson Co. AR

7. SHANE, Susan

Rachel married 5th David HULSTINE 21 Jul 1918 Bk V-554 Johnson Co. AR According to Lily Millsaps Meadows Dave is buried in Treat Cemetery. There are no dates on his stone.
Rachel and Dave had no children.

Can anyone add to this information? I have more information on the Dial and Blackwood children, but nothing else on Higgs and Shane children.

This is my sister-in-law's family. Her great grandmother was Rachel's sister Elizabeth OWEN who married Jesse Blain SPARKS. Have lots on this line.
