Hi,

Death records weren't required in Louisiana until Feb 1, 1914. Some early deaths are in www.ark-ives.com/documenting/in-remembrance/default.aspx. I looked for Lou's death but it isn't listed.

You can do a Google search for Miller County Arkansas Cemeteries and look for her in the inventoried cemeteries.

You can contact the Texarkana Genealogical Society, www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~txkusa/obits/ObitIndex.html, and ask them to look for her death notice in newspaper microfilm.

They also have cemetery inventories.

If you don't find anything about her death, you can order copies of her will/probate records from the County Court. Also there should be guandianship records at the court because the son was so young when she died. Successful Searching!
