Hi Kathy,

Nothing essentially remains of what used to be the large Union Cemetery, which is in the area south and east of the WalMart in Newport, but west of Highway 67. One gravesite was identified in a 1968 Historical Society report - that of Hannah Steen, wife of Benjamin Steen, who died 26 Mar 1853.

I've heard no reports on what physical markers, if anything, remain at the Leachville Cemetery, nor at Stennick.
