Virginia "Virgie" Boyd was born Feb 1878 in TN (probably Madison Co., TN), the daughter of William M. Boyd and Elizabeth Turner. She married Ross P. Courson on 6 Aug 1896 in Jackson Co., AR.

In the 1900 census of Bird Twp., Jackson Co., AR, their household is listed with "Ross Carson" the head of household (born Mar 1870, born AL, farmer) and a son, Willie, born Sep 1897 in AR. Also in the household is Virgie's sister, Nancy "Nannie" Boyd Williamson, who had been recently widowed, and her three children. Nannie Williamson died a couple of years after the census was taken, and her children were taken in by my great-grandfather.

I have nothing else on Virgie Boyd Courson or Willie Courson. In the 1920 census of Bird Twp., Jackson Co., AR, Ross Courson is enumerated as a boarder in the Walter Skelton household (age 49, widowed, born in AL.)
