Hi Mary,
I prepared those abstracts for the Tuckerman Record. I believe that those entries are for the same individual. S. F. Anderson, if I recall correctly, was the mayor of Tuckerman at the time of his death.
Why did I put down two different death dates? That's a good question (smile). Old newspapers seldom stated the date of death, but rather stated the day, such as "last Thursday". Often, especially with the weekly paper, I had to make a judgment call as to whether the death occurred in the previous week's news, or the week before that!
You should write the Jackson County Library and ask for copies of those obituaries/death notices, and check for yourself. That's why I prepared the index, not as a final answer, but as a tool to finding the newspaper accounts of deaths.
