James Tyre (pronounced Tyra) Pierce born 11 July 1866 married Florence Della Kirkland on 19 Feb 1892 in Independence County, Arkansas. Della is the daughter of John Dooley & Susan (Martin) Kirkland and was born on June 04, 1873.

James Tyre Pierce's family was in Texas by 1900.

James Tyre Pierce's death certificate states that his father was Marion Pierce and his mother was Caroline Fuller and that James Tyre was born in Georgia. James Tyre's wife Della (Kirkland) Pierce was the informant.
