Malden Lafayette had a sister Mary Ann who married James C. Lynn. I'm interested in contacting Mary Ann's descendants for a study on mitochondrial DNA, which is inherited through the female line and could provide a clue as to whether Jane and John's mother Laura McMahan had Indian ancestry.
