My grandparents, Winston Pershing McKinney and Anna Marie McKinney, both taught high school at Chinle High in the 1970's. My grandfather taught auto mechanics and my grandmother taught typing. They lived on a reservation. My grandfather was the only non-Navajo horseback tour guide of Canyon De Chelly approved by the Navajo. He also caught wild mustangs and bred them. My grandmother was killed in an automobile accident in the spring of 1973 and my grandfather was severely injured. They had a son named John who attended the high school. I am looking for people that knew my grandparents to create the stories of their lives. Thank you for taking your time to help me with my endeavor.
