I'm another person searching for a death record. My husband's great-great grandfather, William Henry DINGLEY was shot to death Sept 5, 1888 in Sand Point, Popof Island, AK. I found a newspaper account of the incident published in Oct 1888, but there was no mention of where he was buried. Do you know which, if any, of the volunteers on the list you posted would be able to search for death/burial information for a person who died on Popof Island?
