A skeleton has fallen from my family tree. An aunt was said to have been a prositute in Ketchikan in late 20's. She was probably force into this by her husband. Beleive he was a morphine addict got her addicted also and then forced her into prostitution in order to support their habit. One day she could take no more and drank poison ending her life at age 28. Can anyone tell me a source for try to verify any of this? Was prostitution legal in Alaska at this time? As no one in the family will speak of this, please email me directly and I will provide names and dates if needed. Thanks, I am totally lost on this one!
