My Harrells are from Dallas County. They lived around Harrell Crossroads, Marion Junction, Beloit, Chaba, and Orrville. My Harrells are African-Americans. I am trying to trace them back to their slave owner. I was recently told of some cousins, but can not connect them because of the poor records kept on blacks during that time. If any of the names below sound familiar, lets exchange info. Sol Harrell was born around 1854. It is believed that he had a brother named George. Sol went on to marry Caroline McCloud (kids: Luke--married Cassie Walker, Issah, Lena, Henry Sam--married Rose Barron, Fronia, and Queen (Gwen)). George married Cornelius Patterson (kid: Will--married Cora "Missy" Roscoe and they may had a son named Joe). I have been researching for years, and always come to a dead end from beginning to 1870.
