I can't answer your question, but I'd like to know the name of any hotels in Montgomery between 1930-1950 or so, especially in 1930.

I am helping a DNA relative (we match) find her bio father & per the information she has, he might have been a Larry Moore b/1911 MS d/1972 in Montgomery who enlisted in the Army in 1942 in Camp Blanding, FL, stationed at Miami Beach in 1945, released from Army in 1945. At enlistment, he was listed as a "separated, with no dependents" "bellhop" (or similar field). In the 1930 census, he was a 17 year old, single man living as a lodger with the Flynn family working as a "soda dispenser" at the "tea room."

He probably never knew he had a daughter who was born in 1947 to a Rose Weiss in NY.

Would also love to find any relatives / descendants of this Larry Moore, his obituary copy, or find him in the 1920 census (probably MS or 1940 - whereabouts unknown).

Thanks
