Scott (c.1800-1886) of Madison County, Alabama, lists his heirs, including "Sarah Francis Peirce, who is under twenty-one years of age, of sound mind and resides in Jackson County Ala (Garth post office)." Sarah is Henry's great-granddaughter, the daughter of his deceased granddaughter Mary "Molly" Tipton (b. abt. 1859 in Madison County), who married James Pierce in 1880 and died before he remarried in 1884. Mary "Molly" Tipton's parents were Edmond Tipton (1832-1870) and Martha Jane Scott (1836-1866), who was Henry's daughter. Sarah is listed as one of Henry's heirs because her mother and maternal grandmother both predeceased her great-grandfather.
