I descend from Herndon's brother, Edwin Robinson. I notice on your post that you also list the surname Sherrine/Sharron. Edwin's first wife (of 3) was Caroline E. Shearin (sp. found various ways) They married Oct 20,1836 in Greene Co.,AL. I have not been able to find parents for her. A possible clue to a relative is a letter from Louise Shearin of Pleasant Hill, Greene Co., AL to Mary Ann Caroline Payne; that says the weddings of the two friends were one day apart in the 1840's. Mary Payne married a Wynne (as did Edwin & Herndon's sister, Helen Mary in 1844) and Louise Shearin is thought to have married a Herndon. (The letter is owned by M.W. Humphries)

I have a photo of Edwin Robinson that I can share, also a photo of his daughter, Jennette Ione Robinson Cox with her husband in fron of their home in Scott Co.,MS. Edwin is buried in Zion Lutheran Cem, near Trenton,Smith Co.,MS next to 2nd wife, Mary Ann Elizabeth Ward, who he m. 1858 in Greene Co.,AL. She died 1888 and he 3rd m. Rhoda C. Traxler, who apparently outlived him.
I have quite a lot on Edwin's descendants that I will gladly share.
