Lost my first message. Will try again. Daniel Thomas Greene was b 27 May 1850 to Benjamin W Greene and Prudence P Childers of Talbot/Marion Co GA. He d 10 Mar 1909 and is buried in the LaFayette City Cemetery. He was m1 to Rebecca A E Wester granddaughter of Benjamin Wester and Elizabeth (Betsy) Cook.
By Rebecca he had James Benjamin Greene (1874/1941), Celeste Anne Elizabeth (Annie) Sanders. (George M Sanders)
By Ida Mariah Leverette he had Mattie Susie Greene Cadenhead (Frank), Thomas Grady Greene (Catherine Whitehead), Mary Prudence Greene (1906-1908), Sarah A Greene Coffee.

James Benjamin Greene m Alice Elizabeth Lamb - my Grandmother. She lived 3 mi N of LaFayette on her farm.

Benjamin W Greene and sons Daniel Thomas and William Franklin were in 31st GA Inf Reg Co B. Benjamin was KIA, Daniel and William were wounded in the 4th battle of Winchester VA. Daniel was 14, William was 17 when in the War. Daniel was a courier and joined his brother and father in VA leaving Prudence with four children at home in Columbus GA. Prudence d 1895 in Columbus. I have only traced Daniel and William.
