There is an 1855 Census here in Baldwin County, AL. John A. Hammock is listed with no males under 21 and himself over 21, 2 females under 21 and 1 female over 21.
Stephen Hammack is also on the 1855 Census with 1 male under 21 and 1 over 21 and 2 females under 21 and 1 female over 21. There is a Hammock River that flows into the Intercoastal Water way from the Mifflin area. The book on tombstones in Foley Library lists Charles Richard Hammack b. 21 Nov 1860 as being buried in the Spanish Cove Cemetery in Lillian, AL. Charles died in 1952. There were a few Hammock names for Robertsdale Cemetery and also Styx River Cemetery.
There are marriages listing Josephine Hammack to Charles Wilson June 1859 and Margaret Hammock to John Robert 1830.
