Seeking information on Stapleton, Baldwin Co, AL.

My husband's GGGgrandmother was Nancy Ann Stapleton (b 1809 SC - 6 Aug 1897 Ringgold, Bienville Parish, LA) who married Mark (Martin) Franklin 12 February 1824 in Baldwin Co, AL.

Recently noticed there's a town in Baldwin Co called Stapleton, and as I know nothing more of Nancy's family, though perhaps someone could help me. It just seemed too much of a coincidence to ignore.
