MOBILE REGISTER 10 MAY 1955

Naomi Thorington Powell, wife of O K Powell, a native of Montgomery AL, a resident of Mobile for many years, and who lived at 104 Bienville Ave, died at a local hospital, Monday morning, May 9, 1955. Funeral services will be held at Roche Funeral Home Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery. She is survived by her husband, O K Powell, of Mobile; two sons, Edward L Powell of Lookout Mountain TN, and Chilton G Powell, of Mobile; three daughters, Mrs John L Dailey, Mrs William Meador, and Mrs Ferd Zundel, all of Mobile; two sisters, Mrs F M Boykin of Taft TX and Mrs W F Prouty of Chapel Hill NC; a brother, William S Thorington of Taft TX; 13 grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
