Petition of THOMAS ANTONIO de OLIVAS: He states he is Spanish, a native of the Real Mines of San Joseph de el Parral, a soldier of this precidio of Bexar, widower of TEODORA MARTINEZ, legitimate son JOSEPH JUACHIN de OLIVA and NICOLESA de ESCUDERA. He states he wants to marry MARIA JOSEPHA PERES BANOS, Spanish, a native from the ** city of Monterey, ** but now living in this villa of San Fernando. She is the ** widow of JAVIER SEGUIN, ** and the legitimate daugher of MANUEL ANTONIO PERES BANOS and ANTONIA MARGARITA ROMERO. The petition was signed by Thomas Oliva.

Declaration of MARIA JOSEPH PERES BANOS: She states she has known OLIVA for 2 years and that she was the widow of JAVIER SEGUIN. She wants to marry THOMAS OLIVA of her own free will and has not given her word to marry anyone else. She said she was 27 years old. She did not sign the book, but it was signed by Martin Flores, the notary.

Declaration of THOMAS ANTONIO de OLIVA: He states he was the widower of TEODORA MARTINEZ who died in the villa of Coahuila. He says he wants to marry MARIA JOSEPH PERES BANOS, widow of JAVIER SEGUIN, but is now free to mary to marry MARIA JOSEPHA PERES BANOS. He said he was 40 years old. He did not sign the book, but Martin Flores, the notary did.

There is a notation from Luis Antonio Menchaca, Depositions from Blas de Abila, Joseph Sanchez, Manuel de la Fuentes all saying that Oliva & Peres Banos are free to marry and both were widowers.

Father Pedro Fuentes married the couple on March 12, 1773 after three days of festivities and no one made objections to the coming marriage.
The book was signed by Father Pedro Fuentes y Fernandez.
