My great great grandfather's name was Aristide Chevaudier dit Lepine married Zoe Loiselle 10-1877 in St. Henri de Montreal. Her name may have been Marie Zoe Loiselle.
From that church register I am told that it lists Aristide's parents as Appolinaire Chevalier {Chevaudier} and Lalard Beausoleil, from New York.
Aristide's death cert. from Kent County, Grand Rapids, MI states parents as Paul La Pine and Mary Goodson. Americanized for death cert? Aristide signed naturalization form as Chevalier dit Lepine, later was known as Henry Lepine or Lapine.
I live in Saginaw, MI and I can not get anywhere on his famail or him. The only info I get is from others and usually always different facts. So I do not know what is really true and what isn't.
