Donald Cameron, son of Angus Cameron UEL, who first settled on Lot 15, Concession 5, Cornwall Township with his father [his inlaws lived on Lot 15, Conc 5 Cornwall Township], went north to the ninth concession of Cornwall to live, along with his wife, Margaret Fraser, then later he settled on Lot 6, Concession 1, Roxborough Township. Donald Cameron the son of Angus Cameron UEL married Margaret Fraser. He died in 1822 in Roxborough and left a WILL.
Some children of Donald Cameron and Margaret Fraser married my MacMillan relatives [ i.e. = his son, Donald Cameron married Lucy MacMillan, sister to my gtgt grandfather, Archibald MacMillan of Callich; Ann Cameron married John MacMillan, a brother to Lucy and Archibald, etc., They were children of John MacMillan of Callich who first settled on Lot 22, Conc 1, Finch Township [see Bygone Lochaber by Somerled MacMillan, page 80]
The names Donald and Daniel are not interchangeable. In the Gaelic Bible the book of Daniel is spelled the English way == Daniel. It wsa customary at the time of migration for the Society for the propagation of Christianity to hand out Gaelic Bibles, hence some Gaelic speaking emigrants gave the Biblical name of Daniel [English spellng] to a son. Colloquially, the nicknames of Dan and Don sound similar.
I have read the petition no. 43 made by the aforementioned Donald Cameron, son of Angus Cameron UEL, and there is not a valid statement on that petition saying he was the son of "JOHN".
