Surnames: Highland Maid, Keewatin
I am interested in obtaining a photograph of the Highland Maid and the Keewatin boats that sailed on the Lake of the Woods. I need a good quality photograph suitable to reproduce in a family history book. I would appreciate any sources such as museums, etc. that might have a photo.

Part of my family were the Fitzgeralds and Stones, I believe they were very involvled in boat building in Kenora in the early 1900's have some pics of boats and people, Bertha Fitzgerald and uncle Agar as well as others. Looking for any info on these people and relatives as well as Eddie Giroux, my grandfather who married into the family. He was the goaly for the Kenora Thistles when they won the Stanley Cub in 1905

Hello....
I recently began searching for ancestors from Kenora. My Dad Frank was a son of Martin C and Lettecia Fitzgerald along with his older brother Frederick. I'm familiar with the name Agar and the stories about the boats. Apparently someone also owned a resort. I heard mention of the Stone family growing up . There are also some Sullivan's in the mix..

The 1930 & 1940 US census documents the Fitzgeralds in Minneapolis. I expect Mr Carney and I will be comparing notes with the Fitzgeralds of Kenora.

Very pleased to finally make contact.

Best Regards,

Terry
