Hello - I just found your post from 2006. I, too, am a descendant of John Barr and his wife Jannett Shirriff. I am descended through their daughter Janet Barr Ward, b. 15 May 1850; d. 1920 and their daughter Mary Ann Fern(e) Ward. Could you give me the info you have on John Barr's parents?
