I have seen a picture of a Mary Johnson Church with the notation on the back that her brother is Mathews Showers. Can't for the life of me figure that one out unless he is her brother-in-law. Mary Johnson Church was married to Philip Church born 1812 in NY and died 4 Feb 1881 in Burford Twp, Brant Co, Ontario Canada. They lived in Brant/Oxford Ontario. She died 4 Jul 1887 in Brant Co, ON, Canada. She and Philip had 11 children. I would like very much to find her parents and just who this Mathew Showers is. Is there anyone out there that could help me? I have never found Mary's death in the newspapers nor a copy of this person said to be her brother.
