My Swalm family connections include a George Swalm - and I may have more information on that family in a week or so. The George Swalm I have was born 17 Mar 1831. He and his older brother Henry came over to Canada when they just little boys. Their parents were Conrad Swalm and Mary Ruhl both from Kassle, Hesse, Germany. They were homesteaders in Duntroon, Nottawasaga Twp., Simcoe County, Ontario, Canada.

In 1901 George Swalm was living with his grandson Ruban Swalm in the Duntroon area, (according to 1901 Census data) so I am not sure if he ever left the province.
