Was your Michael Daltons parents Maurice Dalton and Margaret King or was Michael a brother possibly to Maurice. Here is an entry from St. Joseph's Parish Register, Ontario. Maurice Dalton also lived in Goderich. Margaret King below is a relative of my husbands family. Her sister was Bridgit King married to Dennis Ford County Kerry, Ireland and lived in Goderich and Ashfield then moved to ND. Are you from Illinois? Some of these families moved to ND. According to the notes that a family member passed on it says that Micahel Dalton.

1871 Census Huron--Ashfield Twp--Michael Dalton Age 30 and was born in Ireland at this time he lived in HUR--Ashfield Twp which was near Goderich, Ontario.
