Thank you for your reply. All I know about Ellen Golden was the info in my original post, basicallly just that she married Dougal Stuart McKinnon and they lived in Caledonia then Tillsonburg.

I have since obtained their marriage information from the Church register - they were married in 1852 at either Knox or St. Andrew's Presbyterian (the records are combined) in Hamilton, and both were from Seneca Village (became part of Caledonia in 1853). Their parents names were not part of the marriage register.

According to the 1871 and 1881 Census she was born in Ireland. That's all I know.
