I am not sure where you got those names. Maybe you found those names in something I wrote years ago. In the information I sent you, Laura unknown was Johnson's mother. I do believe she was Laura Sprague because of the Marsh family names and that there may have been a Laura Sprague of the right age that lived in a town not too far from where Johnson lived. What is more accurate is Laura Sprague was born to a couple and that a man with that same name appeared in a record in a town maybe 20 miles from where Johnson lived. Sprague was a rare name at that time in that place so it probably was the same man. That Laura Sprague was Laura Marsh is just a theory since no record of the marriage was ever found. She was always referred to as Laura Marsh. Still the Marsh family had a tradition to name after important persons to the Marsh family. That is the only possible Sprague connection I could dream up. I do not know who Olive Sprague could be. For all I know, I thought Olive Ann was Olive Sprague at one time. I was in contact with Dot Moon in 86. It probably took me 5 yrs to locate her. Communications were all snail mail back then. So I probably started researching the Marsh family circa 1980. Researching is not clean cut. In the 80s you information was very hard to come by. You used what you could get to fill in your tree. In the 90s my uncle and father died and I got a new batch of information that was better than any Marsh researcher had had. My father had been given a Marsh scrap book but never told me that he had it. I remember it sitting is his library for years. He probably thought it was junk since he wasn't interested in genealogy of family history and he only held on to it for sentimental reasons. With the new influx of primary data my research took off.
Much of the information you get researching needs to be 'sifted through' if you have enough data, you have the luxury of doing that. When you do, you usually find inconsistencies. Possibly, what I sent you has errors but it was the best I could do in 20 yrs. That info is not ready for publication because I suspect it does have errors. I do think it is fairly 'clean' though I had the wrong sister marrying Mr Potter. I got that info from an obit that mentioned his surviving daughters as Mrs Potter etc with no first names so I guessed. I probably sent you that obit. I have given that info to more than one Marsh genealogist so that info was reevaluated with a fine tooth comb then.
