Classification: Query
Surnames: Rogers, Wing
I am also reading old posts. I have been researching a Rogers line that intersects repeatedly with the Wings. There is a book called "The Diary of Timothy Rogers" from Newmarket, Ontario and he mentions the Wing families a lot. He brought the Society of Friends (Quaker) religion to Canada, along with a lot of Wing families. Check out the Society of Friends website in Canada. You may find your Wing ancestors. They started out in the Toronto area and many of the Wing families moved to Bastard, Leeds County, Ontario. Timothy came from Danby, VT, then went to Ferrisburgh, VT. There is a town hall in Ferrisburgh that has deed books dating back into the early 1700's. The Wings and Rogers's are listed extensively in these deed books, if you're ever doing a genealogy road trip back in time, you may find a personal trip to the Ferrisburgh, VT town hall useful.
