My sister Margaret who has research McDonells says that - The Priest Alexander McDonell of St Raphael's Parish came out in 1786 and was a cousin to Spanish John McDonell.
The man whom became the Bishop Alexander McDonell came out in 1802 and it was after the first Alexander McDonell had passed away.
