I am Barb Gressel's cousin. My great great grandfather Peter Grant was born in Glengarry County, Ontario, in 1798. We have every reason to believe his father came from Glenmoriston. We have some evidence that his mother's (Flora) family is also from Glenmoriston and were also Grants. The historical reading I have done suggests that all of the early (Pre-1800) Grant immigrants to Glengarry County were from Glenmoriston and Glenurquhart.

I will submit my DNA sample to help establish this line. How should I go about doing this and which company should I use? I live in Carlsbad, California, just north of San Diego.
