My great-grandparents were Antoine Gareau (born Feb 4 1867; died 1941) and Emily (also Militine/ Militeme) Quesnel (born June 22, 1875). I am looking for birthplace, marriage date & place, and anything on their ancestral line. My father believes they were both originally from Rigaud, Quebec and probably married there before moving to a farm near Lancaster in Glengarry Township, Ontario.

The 1901 and 1911 Ontario census lists their children: Alexander, born Sep 1, 1892; Arthur, Jun 6 1894; Donalda, Apr 22 1896; Henry, Feb 13 1898; Florida (my grandmother) Jan 10 1901; Allida, Aug 1902; Annie, Jun 1904; Laura, Nov 1905. My great-uncle Henry Gareau and his wife Sally maintained the family farm before retiring to Cornwall, Ont., I think in the 1960s.
