I'm hoping that someone will be able to link to my Grants. I have John Grant who married --?Cameron. I would love to find out who his wife was, and if my John Grant did in fact come to Glengarry from NY.

They had a daughter, Catherine Grant (1794-1838) who was christened by Rev. John Bethune at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Williamstown on 1 Nov. 1794. In 1822, Catherine married Robert McLennan (1797-1878).

In William D. Reid's book "The Loyalists in Ontario" on p. 131 there is mention of a John Grant of east half lot 42, River aux Raisins, Charlottenburgh and he also shows Orders in Council for Catherine 28 April 1815. This would match up with my Catherine who would have been 21 in 1815, the age at which children of Loyalists could apply for their land grant.
