I don't know if he ever got apprehended, it's quite the mystery. I did try to find him later in his life and couldn't. However after this posting, I found a reference to him in a book in the Ancestry Card Catalog that his father came from either VT, CT, MA, can't recall, and it said that he and his wife never had children. KPL--I'm guessing that must be Kingston Public Library. Don't know when I'll be up in that area again, but if/when I am, I will definitely look for it. Thank you.
