Hi I don't know how I missed your post, but thank you for the information on Herkimer. I see that TWO blacksmiths, surname Rogers who worked in Ernesttown for Isaac Hough killed Herkimer and that they escaped from jail, and possibly even the province. I also see that Herkimer had a neighbor named Day. I've been looking for a Rogers with the middle name of Day so, this is promising. Thanks for the tip!
