In September, 1728, Marie-Louise Faron [Sancerre] married Martin Curot, a widower. Two sons from this marriage were Michele and Amable Curot. In March of 1784 they purchased Wolfe Island, Ontario, Canada from their half-brother Jacques-Francois Curot, who had been a priest at Saint-Pierre-de-la-Rivière-du-Sud from 1764-1783. In May, 1795, they sold the Island (30,000 acres) to David Alexander Grant and Patrick Langan of Montreal. Amable Curot was a fur-trader.
