Yep, it's kind of a pain to have to go thru so many pages, but knowing the record entry IS there makes it worth it. and I've learned some tricks for navigating through them. For instance, looking up your Nicholas Murphy, I went to the book with burials from 1869-1879, then looked at the first page of the actual book, which indicates what page begins the interments. Then, taking a guesstimate of the image page, I put #175. Bingo! Just luck, but there was Nicholas!)It's on actual record page 384. His age was unknown, so it offers no further clues in the entry, but perhaps you can glean that from the census where he's with his dau.
