If I'm not mistaken, John "Wolfe" was a member of the Royal Highland Fusileers, lead by General James Wolfe. I'm not certain if John Wolfe rode with the General at Culloden, though.
Duncan Turk (any idea where this nickname comes from?) actually had two sons named John (and 15 children total!) John Angus, born to Catherine Dewar McMillan, was my ggrandfather. Duncan and second wife Margaret also had a son John. John Angus and his wife had two children, Dan and Katie, but John died shortly after they were born of "Intemperance - Three Days".
I have not yet been able to locate their movements, as I am not yet well-versed in the lots/concessions locations of the family. The best I have been able to do is the fact that they seemed to center in Lochiel and its immediate surroundings. Catherine and John Angus, however, were married in Victoria, as I have been able to determine.
I am having some difficulty with the many McMillan-McMillan marriages. I don't yet have enough information on parental relationships to one another to determine the degree of separation between the families. That is something I would like to have straight in my head before presenting my work to the family at Christmas. Is there somewhere a published work that details the lineage of this branch of the tree?
