Ernest Edward (possibly Edward Ernest, based on his death certificate!) was born 15 July 1897 in Nottingham; his parents were John and Ada [CHURCH] Stanley. He died 6 Mar. 1959 in Mt. Clemens, Michigan; his wife at the time was Frances Schofield. If you can locate any records, it would be wonderful! We do know Ernest/Edward went to Canada (Ontario) prior to 1915, and that an aunt, Mrs. John Webster, at 73 Harcourt Rd., Nottingham, was listed as his next of kin on his enlistment papers (Canadian Overseas Expeditonary Force).
