Ernest Edward STANLEY b. 15 July 1897, Nottingham, England, s/o John & Ada (CHURCH) Stanley. Ernest in Canada by 1915, where he enlisted in Canadian OEF 9 Aug 1915. He listed as next-of-kin his aunt, Mrs. John WEBSTER, living Nottingham, Eng. Apparently married after WW1, presumably in Canada, and had two daughters, Pearl & Hilda, born Windsor, Essex, Ontario prior to 1923. Family relocated to Detroit, Michigan, before 20 Dec 1923, when Ernest's son Edward James born. Ernest died 6 Mar 1959 @ Mt. Clemens, Macomb, Mich.; wife at that time named Frances SCHOFIELD (believe 2nd wife - she was not the mother of Edward James). Thanks for any help!
