I don't have Nettie in my Eagan tree. The parents of the Elizabeth Tanner who married my Elijah (my great grandparents) had parents by the name of John & Jane Tanner. I have no pics of any of my great grandparents due to my parents divorce.
Per the 1851 census of Southwold, John was born abt 1794 in England and died about 1874 in Michigan (death info from a OneWorld Tree). Jane was born about 1803 in England. They had children Elizabeth (my gr. grandma), b. 1834 in England; James, b. 1835 in England, died bef. 1916; George, b. 1836 in England, d. aft 1916 prob in Iowa; John, b. 1837 in England, d. aft 1916 prob in Sanilac Co, MI; Joseph b. 1839 in England, d. bef 1916, & Charles, b. 1844 in England, d. bef 1916. Possibly there are other children yet to be discovered. All that would be available in census forms would be the 1851 census already found and an 1860 U.S. or 1861 Canadian census.
Perhaps this death information is from your family tree? I sometimes merge OneWorld Tree info & sometimes there's not a source. I then try to verify info as I can thru census returns. I haven't found them yet on the 1860 or 1861 Canadian census. I don't think the 1861 census for Canada is online yet with Ancestry.com.
I wish I could be more helpful but I can't. It's possible they relate but we have a lot of research ahead to get there. I have no Crouse links to help.
