I have found alot of info on the Dillen branch of my tree and more is beginning to surface on the Hephner/Hipfner line. I would like to find out more about my Grandmother Helena Hephner's first husband's family.

Philip Kraus apparently added an extra "s" to his name to distinguish himself from another Kraus. They both worked for the same employer -- possibly the railroad in Southern Saskatchewan in the early 1900s.

Philip was born Jan 23, 1879 in Russia and lived and farmed in Billumen, Sask and later in Hazenmore where in had a dray business. He was killed in an accident in 1918.

Helena and Philip had 8 children: Mary, Theresa, Joseph, Elizabeth, Anna, Leo and twins Frank and Genevieve.

Any info on Philip's family would be greatly appreciated.
