Thank you, but as I said, this is not an avenue currently open to me. I don't know if/when my paternal grandfather died - no one in the family who I've been able to to talk to does. All the information that is known and shared with me is in my post. My parents are divorced so I have very limited access to paternal information. I think he may have been born in or around 1922 so it's only a few years that I have to wait for those records to be released. Once I have that, then I should be able to find some more info on him. Fortunately I've started my genealgoy while I'm still relatively young :-) and though it's hard to wait, I can wait patiently for these records.

In the meantime I will continue to hope that someone else sees my post and is able to help.
