Kim: I did check the census and Donald and Elizabeth didn't live nearby the Dunbar's and Roddicks. Donald and Elizabeth lived in Brandon and the Dunbar's in Cornwallis district of Brandon.
John Dunbar was from Abercrombie (near New Glasgow) but the family moved to Lorne (Big Brook) and he lived there I believe until he died. His father was Robert Dunbar (my GG Grandfather) and he was from Nairn, Scotland. John's Mother was Elizabeth MacLean and we assume she was also from Scotland but we don't know where they were married.
John Dunbar's wife was Janet Munro (1787-1854) and her father I have as Henry Munro and Mother was Nancy Fraser. Don't have any details on them. Good luck in your research. Bill
