Mrs Fred Tasker, 58, Braeshore, died Wednesday, Dec. 10, at home. Born in White Stone, North London, England, she was the former Kathleen (Betty) Crowch, daughter of the late H.A. and Kathleen (Stanley) Crowch. She was a registered nurse, graduating from Royal Middlesex Hospital, London. She came to Canada in 1952 and worked for some time in Western Memorial Hospital, Newfoundland. In 1967, she and her husband moved to Pictou County. She is survived by her husband, Fred; a daughter, Jill (Mrs Gilber (sic) Ross), Halifax; two sons, Anthony, Ottawa; Geoffrey, Grand Prairie, Alta.; a brother, Eric, Nassau; three grandchildren. Funeral service was held 2 p.m. Friday in Pictou United Church, Rev. Curtis McDonald officiating. Burial was in Seaview Cemetery. Donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
